On-call Tech for On-site / Emergency Roadside Repair

Job Description

​

Employees in this job perform a variety of activities designed to service, repair, and maintain pieces of heavy equipment both in-shop and onsite at customer locations. The work is performed through the application of a body of knowledge and specific certifications that denote expertise in heavy equipment maintenance.

​

a) This position is every 3rd week on call between the hours of 5 PM - 7 AM and also the full weekend. $100 base pay for the week/weekend on call.

​

b) This position will also be paid $50 per call no matter how long the repair takes up to 2 hours. Anything after 2 hours is time and a half.

​

c) Most calls range between 15-30 minutes of repair on average.

​

d) This position requires knowledge of Class A truck and trailer repair.

​

e) A service truck will be provided outfitted with tools to perform common emergency breakdown repairs.

​

f) Repairs are mainly performed locally in the West Michigan Region.

​

Job Type: Commission

Salary: $18.00 to $22.00 /hour

​
